Description:
This is an extremely rare Colt Police Positive Cut-A-Way. A few of these were made by the factory for their sales personnel to carry and use for demonstrations to the customers. The uniquely placed cut-out holes allowed a visual of the working parts inside the frame. This example is chambered in .38 S&W and has the 4” barrel. It also has a small grip frame with checkered walnut stocks and factory medallions. The walnut stocks still remain in near new condition from the lack of shooting. The gun remains in very good condition and has a small amount of normal wear that would be expected for one of these. While these guns could be fired I don’t believe that they generally were. The original Colt factory Cut-A-Ways almost never surface and are one of the rarest variations of all Colt guns. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
