German side by side 20 ga. scalloped boxlock. Made by Hans Hunold in 1925. This is one of the highest quality German guns you will ever see. It is right there with a Daly diamond or a Lindner best. Superb workmanship and quality throughout. The case colored action has dual underlug locking with a Greener crossbolt. It has perfectly fitted side clips, cocking indicators and an automatic safety. The 30" barrels are fitted with well timed ejectors and chokes of Modified (,016" right) and Improved modified (.025" left). File cut rib with a gold bead front sight. It has correct German proof marks along with "Flussstahl Krupp, Essen" on the underside of both barrels. The top rib is engraved "Hans Hunold, Halle A.S." and the left barrel marked "Fr. Krupp, Essen" while the right is marked "Fluss Stahl". The barrel has 98%+ blacking while the action has 95%+ color case hardening. The very fine engraving covers nearly 100% of the metal showing delicate scroll with nearly 100 flowers. None of the engraving shows any handling wear and this gun shows no real use and certainly no wear and tear. All the screws are engraved with perfect slots with all timed fore and aft. The Walnut stock has a nice oil finish with only one small safe dent. It is equipped with a nicely done Horn trigger guard and extensive 24 LPI checkering. It has a lever forend latch with a horn forend tip. The buttstock has a 1 1/4" extention in Walnut that is really well done and a 1" recoil pad.
