26-3/4" barrels have selector actuated U notch rear sight mounted in full length matte rib. Case hardened scallop-backed boxlock action features selector switch on top Tang , Greener type side safety, pin cocking indicators, intercepting safety sears,side clips,bushed strikers, slight
y,reinforced bolster and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with cleanly cut open scrolling, acanthus that has areas on leaves polished through color hardening to give greater depth. Background is nicely shaded. There is a bulging stag walking over log on left side of action and wild bore on right. Lightly marbled dense European walnut full capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4" over basket weave horn butt plate and features shadow line righthand check piece, 28 LPI checkering, a nicely engraved flip up cartridge trap door and sling loop on toe line. Horn appointments include nicely shaped Trigger Guard , sunburst grip cap, and insert diamond drop points. Matching forend has Deely release. Very good condition with a few minor marks on wood and metal finish.
