SOLD Thompson Center Hawken .50cal with a serial #205187. .50 cal., 29” factory octagon maybe a Douglas barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel retains about 96% original blue with loss due to light high edge and muzzle silvering, a handful of scattered spots of light oxidation and a light handling mark or two. The lockplate and hammer retain nearly all their original case-hardened colors and the handsome brass mountings have aged to a mustard patina with some scattered spots of light tarnish. The smooth American walnut straight grip half stock with left side cheekpiece rates excellent also with just a light handling mark or two. The clean-out screw is a replacement, the original sights and brass-tipped hardwood ramrod are intact, the double set triggers function properly, the lock remains strong and crisp.A left side mounted Lyman peep site mounted to the top tang, and a factory issied front site. An excellent condition Hawken rifle sure to provide many more years of dependable service. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
