Description:
One of the great rarities in all of Parker collecting is the small bore early hammer guns. This gun, made in 1890 and shipped to Macon Georgia is no exception. Made on a lightened "0" frame with 28" twist barrels, splinter forend, double triggers, extractors, capped pistol grip buttstock with original dogs head buttplate. The frame is lightly border engraved and stocks are point pattern checkered.
Overall, the gun remains in pleasing original condition. Barrels have been professionally rebrowned, bores are very good with scattered orange peel. Stocks are sound and retain most of their original finish. The action retains about 25% original case color. Mechanics are crips and the action is tight. This is a great little gun.
Here's something that will keep you up at night - this gun was also built with a second set of 28ga barrels. These barrels are not currently with the gun and their whereabouts are currently unknown!
