CIVIL WAR WESSON BREECH LOADING SINGLE SHOT .38 RIMFIRE CAL. RIFLE CIRCA 1861-1863. 30” octagon barrel and distinctive iron frame made without forend and having two triggers- one to release the barrel for loading and the other to operate the hammer. Walnut stock with crescent iron butt plate. Very good overall with the dark original patina. Scarce with only 2000 made. Working order.
