Early 3 digit serial number flat bolt. About excellent overall condition with 2 areas of discoloration present on left side of barrel above forend.
Manufactured in 1968, this Ruger M77 .308 bolt-action Rifle is a mechanically sound, aesthetically pleasing 1st Year Production. With a flat bolt and top tang safety indicative of early models, this M77 also features a blued, sightless, tapered round rifled barrel marked with the "Sturm Ruger & Co Southport, Conn. USA" address, a blued action with a flat bolt and tang safety marked "Ruger M77", and a lightweight, blackened floorplate. The action has scope mounts with Ruger factory rings and the checkered walnut 1-piece pistol grip stock bears a Ruger grip cap, a Ruger "Red Solid Pad", in addition to quick detachable sling bases.
