Description: This Springfield Garand was mfg abt 1/44, Ser No. 2490XXX- It has all the correct component parts for the period of WW II to the mid Korean War. I use Craig Riesch's 6th Edition "The M-1 garand 1936- 1957 & Scott Duff's The M-1 Garand: WW II publications for my reference info. Every attempt is made to be resonably accurate. The gun metal is a matching olive toned light gray parkerizing in the Receiver area w/a darker operating rod w/relief cut. The barrel is Springfield and marked "S-A-3-52" . The bore is good w/distinct rifling and some very light scaling. It shows medium bright w/bore light. it measures abt 3, the throat Measures 3 Very Good . (I use a CMP - both bore & throat Gage.) The wood is Good w/no cracks, dings or gauges and it is the original WWII issue w/the correct cartouches "SA/GAW" w/the circle "P". Both upper & lower handguard are matching and also original WWII issue.
