Made on a 1-1/2 frame this beautiful high condition VHE 12ga skeet gun with 26" barrels, beavertail forend, Parker single selective trigger, capped pistol grip, and likely the original Hawkins Brand pad. The beavertail forend has a fascinating early period alteration and has been taken down on the breech ends- this actually forces the shooter to hold the gun with a wider grip and is quite comfortable. The checkering borders look perfect for a Remington era gun and this may have been done at the factory!
The gun remains in pleasing condition with more than 50% of the original case color. Stocks are sound and retain most of their original finish with scattered minor handling marks. Barrels retain about 80% of their original blue. Trigger guard retains more than 70% of the original blue. Barrels marked "Skeet in / Skeet out". Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Single trigger works flawlessly as do the ejectors.
