Description:
This uniqe 100 carbine is in excellent conditon and is not often encounterd in 284 Winchester. 
100 Carbines were produced from approx 1967 to 1973. With a 175 XXX ser this is a lst year production gun.
The stock shows only light handling evidence not in any way comenserate with its 55 yrs on the planet.
There is neither a front or rear site. Very close examination shows a site blank where the rear site was located and no front or holes for the front site; the barrel measures exaclty 19" which we believe was the correct lenght for the carbines as listed at the time. It is possible that this has been reblued however if so it is identical to the factory finish and there is no evidence of prior pitting or polishing or other.
We have always felt the 100 carbines to be very likely the best deer rifle ever produced for hunting the thick woods in the North East where we are located; lighter than the Rem equivalent (742 Carbines, also excellent) with an overall lenght not much greater than a Ruger 44 mag carbien with the modern firepower (thse were avail in 243/308 and 384) of these chamberings. Light, short and fast follow up 2d, 3d and 4th shots to prevent a lost or wounded animal. With the semi auto the scope never has to leave your eye to cock, bolt or lever in a follow up round.
This gun comes with a period correct Bushnell Scope Chief 1V (excellent modeslty priced scopes owne by B&L) with a simple CH. The scope has no meaningful value but is functional. We have many fine uses Leupolds, Redfields and others avail should someone wish to upgrade.
Note: there was a fireing pin recall on thse guns many years ago This service is avail free  from many sources if anyone wishes to have it replaced. It does not appear that this one has had the recall done; usually indicated by a stamping on the trigger guard.
LOP to end of thin pad is about 13 1/4. The red W is missing from the pg cap; thse are avail on line if anyone wishes to replace it.
These are most often found for 100's more than our price for this excellent and unique carbine
