Payment Types Accepted: AmEx, Discover, Master Card, Visa, Money Order, Certified Check, Personal Check (item held until check cleared) Description: This is a Colt Model 1860 Richards-Mason Conversion in .44 CF with a 8-inch barrel. This gun was manufactured around 1877-78. It has a nickel finish with a case-colored hammer and walnut grips. The gun features matching serial numbers throughout (6722), with the loading gate and cylinder arbor assembly numbered 571. The grip is unnumbered. The barrel has the short, single line, block letter Hartford address. The frame has the two-line 1871/1872 patent mark. The rearof the trigger guard is marked ".44 CAL". The gun also has a rebated cylinder, a Mason-patent ejector rod (which has a weak spring), and a specially-made Richards-Mason barrel with the same profile found on the M1871-1872 Open-Top revolvers, but without the milling for the loading lever. This gun is one of about 1,200 M1860 Army revolvers produced as Richards-Mason cartridge revolvers, rather than alterations of percussion revolvers. With the exceptions of the 12-stop Richards, and the US Richards, the 1860 Richards-Mason model is considered the next rarest model of the large-frame Colt factory conversions.
