Description:
H. Burgsmuller & Sohne Sidelock Cape Gun chambered in 16 gauge is in very good condition. The Casehardened Sidelock action features a game scene engraving, the left side has a pair of deer and a pheasant in a forest scene, the right side has a hunter downing an elk with flying birds. All of it is surrounded by floral motifs. It has a blued 26 3/4" solid rib blued barrel that the choke constriction is measured .033" and the rifle is marked "10,5 mm" on the flat, and a 29 1/2" blued barrel. They are both 16 gauge and are chambered for 2 1/2" shells. It has a walnut stock and fore end, with a length of pull of 14 5/8"; drop at comb 1 5/8"; and a drop at heel of 2 7/8". It has a two triggers, a walnut pistol grip stock with a cheekpiece and a horn grip cap. It includes a leather bound takedown case with the letters "H.T." on the lid. It retains 90% of the reblued finish on the barrels, silver casecolors on the action with some discoloration on the bottom, and the stock has minor handling marks with some faded checkering and some gaping between the wooden fore end and barrel.
