This revolver retains a nice percentage of its original nickel finish, accented with strong fire/nitre blue on the trigger & rear of hammer, as was part of Colt's standard finishing at the time of this revolver's shipment. Even better, this revolver still has its original & undamaged pearl grips. Mechanically strong with tight lockup. The factory letter confirms this revolver's current configuration, and as being part of a 25 revolver shipment to M. During & Company in Veracruz, Mexico, during the turbulent lead up to the Mexican Revolution. Interestingly, During & Company appears on Mexico's "Trading with the Enemy" list in 1917. Overall, a worn but attractive original nickel Colt with fire blue accents, shipped to an area experiencing turbulence and uprising in the early 20th century. An excellent addition to the collection of anyone interested in Colts with some historical relevance. Price includes shipping to your FFL.
