Description:
12 bore with 26" barrels, choked cylinder and 1/4 choke; 2 5/8" chambers, Nitro Proofed.
Bores .732" with .028" and .029" wall thicknesses. Stock: 14" LOP over 3/4" leather
covered pad; drop: 1 1/2" x 21/2", castoff 1/4". Weight: 6lbs. 4 oz. Most of original factory
blue and color case hardening remains and there have been no repairs to stock or forend wood.
Checker remains sharp. Serial number of 24xxx indicates production in 1937.
Cased in its original motor case with a full complement of accessories, all in mint condition:est
screw drivers, striker disc tool, field pull thru, brushes, mop, brass jag, silver oil bottle, snap
caps, stuck case puiller and an IVORY BOTTLE containing 2 new firing pins with springs.
I have been an owner and shooter of British guns since the 1960's and enjoyed several
visits to London and became acquainted with Sir Harry Lawrence, who was very helpful
in helping me build a modest collection. I have several pieces of correspondence from
Sir Harry from that period.
