Description:
24 inch round barrel with a bright excellent bore and half magazine. The barrel and magazine retain about 60-70% original blue with some thinning. The action is mostly a smooth gray-brown patina with some light handling marks. Late style markings include -MODEL 1886- on the right barrel side, MADE IN U.S.A. on the left, and WINCHESTER TRADE MARK on the upper tang. Plain walnut stocks remain in very good condition having been lightly cleaned long ago with a filled hole along the toe line and some scattered light dings. The wood to metal fit remains very nice. Has the original hard rubber buttplate and period added sling swivels. Standard sporting rear and a Marble No. 2 ivory bead front sights. The action is smooth and crisp.
