Description:
26 inch octagon barrel with sharp Remington Arms Co. address is marked 32 CF just ahead of the forearm. Bore is partially bright having limited scattered light pitting with strong rifling. The barrel retains about 70% original blue with some thinning and scattered light freckling. The frame retains a good deal of vibrant case-hardened colors with the balance muting to a smoky mottled gray and some scattered brown speckling. The hammer, breechblock and trigger retain most original blue. Plain walnut buttstock and schnabel forend with ebony insert remain in very good plus condition retaining about 95% original varnish with a small chip at the forend tip, a few small thin cracks at the tangs and heel and other minor handling marks. Standard sporting rear and small German silver blade front sights.
