Here is a great condition Ithaca Model 87 Deerslayer in 12 gauge. This 1963 manufactured Ithaca features a 20" Deerslayer barrel, parkerized finish on all metal parts, smooth walnut stock, and corncob walnut forend. The Model 87 is identical to the Model 37. During an ownership change, the Model 37 was renamed the Model 87 and no mechanical changes were made to the gun. This Model 87 is in great condition and shows very minimal signs of wear. The parkarized finish along the entirety of the gun is in great condition with the exception of a handful of light handling marks, and some light wear from the pump being cycled. The stock and corncob forend are in equally as great condition with no signs of cracks or chips, just various scattered handling marks. The original butt plate has been replaced with a Pachmayr White Line recoil pad, and could use a little bit of fitting. The bore on the 20" Deerslayer barrel is bright and shows no signs of imperfections or pitting. The action functions 100% and feels like it just left the factory. This Ithaca Model 87 would be an excellent addition to any collection or as a superb field gun.
