Description:
This is an interesting Pre 64 Model 70 Winchester in 338 Winchester Magnum Caliber. It is a Class 4, special order rifle with no provision for sights. No slot in the rear sight boss and no ramp for a front sight. This rifle came later than the so called "Gopher Specials" with no sights, therefore called a special order rifle. The rifle is in very good condition in and out. Look at the pictures. Original sling swivels stock finish and bluing. No extra holes in either the stock or the metal. Serial Number 52937X, CIRCA 1961.
