Description:
1862 Colt Police Revolver
- .36 caliber percussion
- 5 shot half-fluted and rebated cylinder
- 5 1/2" round barrel with loading lever
- Made 1861-1873
- 1 of approx. 28,000 made
- Blued with case hardened frame, lever and hammer
- Brass grip straps with some traces of silver plating remaining
- 1 piece walnut grip in excellent condition with no chips, splits or missing wood
- Made in 1863 and is a 2nd year production and very scarce
- Barrel marking says "Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America"
- All screws in good shape
- Has "Colts Patent" on left side of frame
- All numbers matching
- "Pat. Sept. 10, 1850" stamped within one of the cylinder flutes
- Mechanically tight
- Excellent action
- Serial number 11029
