Description:
SOLD PENDING !!!This is a fine example of a Henry E Leman, Boys Rifle, Lancaster PA,

.  Henry Eichholz Leman was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, March 8, 1812, and died there March 12, 1887. His ancestors had lived in Lancaster County, PA  From 1831-1834 he was apprenticed to Felchior Fordney, Arms makers of Pennsylvania. He then went work for George W Tryon as journeyman gunsmith in 1831- until he opened his own shop in 1834.
The barrel length is approximatley 32 1/4 inches with an overall length of 48 1/4 inches.  Descent bore, 32 caliber there abouts, with a Leman Lancaster PA lock.  Has a beautiful brass patchbox, with nice silver inlays.

Not sure why, the hammer does not lock back unless you set the back trigger first, then it has a nice crisp action.
