ENGRAVED GEORGE CLARK LTD. LEFT HAND HAWKEN PLAINS PERCUSSION RIFLE DATED AUG. 1983. .50 caliber 37” oct. barrel with false muzzle. Signed on barrel and lock “J. & S. HAWKIN”. Signed under barrel at the breech “G C LTD / AUG 83 / CIRCLED P”. Engraved steel mounts and patchbox with the latter also engraved “H. RUDKIN” for whom this rifle was made by this noted contemporary Canadian maker. Silver side plate with shell engraving and extra coverage engraving on the barrel at both the muzzle and breech. Mr. Clark’s rifles are known for their extremely precise workmanship and engraving as well as their world class accuracy. Very near mint overall
