#4940 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB w/SST, 38WCF, mfg’d 1882 (112XXX) with standard 24” length barrel and desirable single set trigger. Fine+ bore, about a 8+ on a scale and looks VERY shootable, although admittedly I have not shot it myself and neither did the former owner. The exterior is an overall mottled smooth blotchy grayish-brown patina with some scattered VERY light and very minor spots of crustiness build-up which is hardly mentionable. It has basically decent unpitted metal with very good edges, fine markings and has very decent wood with no serious blems or flaws, just some wear bruises mainly on the right side of the forearm and buttstock and some very minor chipping at the toe of the butt. Standard open sights. Nothing extraordinary, but MUCH better bore and better exterior than usually seen on an 1889s Winchester. VG+ as described. $2350
