- There has been more speculation about the origin and circumstances on these Lugers more than any other. The prevailing theory is that they were assembled in early 1943 for the Luftwaffe out of leftover Mauser parts
- All small parts are marked "33"
- KU to the right on serial number is rare and of a low batch run of only 5,000
- This Luger has just become available from an advanced private collector where it has been well cared for for decades
- It was a Vet bring back and came from a European war zone as a prized war tropy
- These variation pistols are mentioned in the book "The Krieghoff Parabellum" by Randall Gibson in chapter 5 page 129-138, chapter 9 page 247-258
- The Krieghoff Parabellum book is included and is the much rarer "Signed" copy
- This would be a prize addition to any advanced German Military sidearm collectors ensemble
