Description:
The Browning Citori was introduced in 1973 as a more affordable version of the highly successful Browning Superposed. The Citori is manufactured in a wide variety of models, styles, and gauges to accommodate enthusiasts of clay target games such as trap, skeet, and sporting clays, as well as upland bird and waterfowl hunters.The Citori is marketed and distributed by the Browning Arms Company in Morgan, Utah. It is manufactured for Browning by the Miroku Corporation in Nangoku, Japan. This particular Citori is in 100% original condition and features 26" barrels (Top choked "Modified"/Bottom choked "Improved Cylinder"), ventilated rib, blued finish on all metal parts, checkered walnut forend, checkered walnut stock, gold single select trigger, and ejectors. The original gloss-bluing on the barrels is in excellent condition with slight wear marks along the bottom of the muzzle and a small sratch along the left side of the top barrel. The original gloss bluing on the receiver is in equally as excellent condition with the exception of various light handling marks. The checkered stock and forend retain their original gloss finish and show no signs of finish cracking/peeling. The forend is in very great condition with the exception of some various handling marks/scratches and two small shallow dents along the underside. The stock is in equally as great condition with the exception of light handling marks/scratches and a quarter inch crack along near the bottom of bottom tang. The crack does not seem to subtract from the integrity of the stock nor does it spread when the stock is flexed. The checkering on both the forend and stock is still sharp with extremely minimum wear. The single select trigger retains 99% of its original gold finish with very light fading and scuffing along the front face. The bore and chambers of both barrels are in excellent condition with the exception of light plastic residue which would clean up well with a little elbow grease and time. Although it show slight amounts of once-removed surface rust, the face of the chambers is also in very great condition and shows very minimum signs of wear. The breechface is in equally as great condition with minimum signs of wear and shooting. All the mechanical aspects of this shotgun function 100% including the ejectors, safety/barrel selector, and trigger. This Citori locks up extremely tight and has no hinge play or wobble.
