"Pair of Very Fine Deluxe Henry Derringer Pocket Pistol Presentation Southern Retailer. .46 Caliber with 3 3/8" barrels and 8 ½" overall length. Deluxe guns with furniture all engraved and silver plated. Barrel breech has gold bands. Each gun has a cap trap in the butt. Guns have rare set triggers. Behind the tang is a shield shaped escutcheon plate with the name “H. Clay". We do not have any information on who H. Clay was, but more research needs to be done. Barrel has rare retailer marking, “Wolf & Durringer/Louise.KY/Agents". Rare retailer marking and considered a Southern agent despite Kentucky being a Union state. Beautiful deluxe set!
