COLT OFFICERS MODEL MATCH, .22 LONG RIFLE, 6" BARREL, #80XXX, MADE 1961. The quality of these Officers Models is truly exceptional. those from this period incorporate the same hand fitted and hand tuned actions of the famed Python revolvers. When they became too costly and time consuming to produce, the line was dropped. This 60 year old example retains the original Colt walnut grips made specifically for this model that are hand-filling and very comfortable. Overall, this one retains most of the original blue with just normal, light handling and edge wear. It has seen light use, but was well maintained and shows very tight lock up and mechanics. Bore is bright and sharp, adjustable sights, amazing single action and double action trigger pulls etc. About as fine a double action .22 LR revolver as has ever been made. Considering the age and scarcity, and quality of these Colts, they are still undervalued... for now.
