Description:
Highly detailed custom 300 Holland and Holland stocked by master gunmaker Monte Kennedy. Built on a Remington 1917 action, this rifle is a fine example of the custom gunmakers art. It has a 26" heavy contour barrel with an engraved barrel band front sight. Other features include: a beautiful dark European walnut stock with palm swell and 28 line checkering,ebony forend tip and inlays,engine turned bolt and extractor,finely fitted leather recoil pad,Griffin and Howe detachable scope mount,inletted sling swivels,and a base for a Lyman peep sight. The gun retains 100% of the original finish. the trigger breaks at 2 lbs with no creep at all. The grip cap is inscribed " Customed by Kennedy Pheifer Rifle Co." and the initials "RCS". RCS is also in gold on the trigger guard. Probably built in the late 1950s or early 1960s,this rifle was set up for long range shooting. It would make a great beanfield deer rifle. It is a beautifully built rifle that could not be duplicated today for less than $15,000. C&R eliglble.
