UNISSUED Civil War-Indian Wars Pattern 1856 Infantry Enlisted Waist Belt Original black bridle leather belt, nice sharp inspector marked “US ORDINANCE DEPT” and maker mark. Used as an infantry waist belt between 1863 and 1872, 100% original Civil War arrow-back “US” brass plate filled with soft solder (lead) with original gilt as does the open C-clasp belt tip. The brass C-clasp belt tip keeper is also 100% original to this belt. Minty unaltered belt which appears to have remained in government storage.
