Description:
25 inch Keel custom round barrel with a bright excellent bore that retains 95%+ original blue, and is marked (KP )REBARRELED-REMINGTON (KP) ahead of the frame and .25-25 S. ahead of the forearm. The case-hardening colors on the frame have taken on a speckled/mottled gray brown patina with remnants of vibrant colors in the protected areas. The custom buttstock is a highly figured smooth pistolgrip walnut that is fitted with a black checkered hard rubber buttplate with elk head. Original forearm with steel Schnabel cap. Graduated Vernier tang sight with wide aperture disc and a Lyman target globe front sight with aperture insert. Obviously a skilled gunsmith, Bob Keel appears to have been active in South Bethlehem, NY in the 1950s and 60s.
