Here is a very good William Ford wildfowler, built in 1935.  The barrels are 26" with 3" chambers and excellent bores, choked .015/.039 (approximately improved cylinder/full.)  The gun features a Churchill-style rib.  The tubes are engraved: WILLIAM FORD. 15. ST. MARY'S ROW. BIRMINGHAM. The scalloped, bolstered action has traces of case colors still present.  The maker's name is engraved in a flowing banner, along with braided rope border engraving on the action, bottom metal and trigger guard.  The gun locks up tight as new.  The fore-end has an Anson push-rod release.  The beautifully figured Prince-of-Wales stock measures 1 1/2" x 2 1/8" x 14 3/8" including a traditional 1/2" pad.  The cast is neutral.  The weight is 7 lbs 8 oz.  A really wonderful waterfowler that is handy enough to carry in the uplands after pheasant.
