Description:
This West German (J.P. Sauer) produced Mark V is in excellent condition and features a 24" barrel, fluted 6-lug bolt, walnut monte carlo stock, gloss blue finish on most metal components, and Weatherby Variable 2-7 scope. The gloss blue finish is in excellent condition across the entirety of the barreled action, and shows almost no signs of handling or wear. The stock has beautiful figure as was typical of the Mark V's of the period, and shows a small amount of various handling marks and light scuffs. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and shows no signs of visible imperfections or erosion. The bolt operates flawlessly and lock up solid. As previously stated, the rifle is topped with a Weatherby Variable 2-7 power scope with a fine crosshair reticle. The scope is mounted in Buehler rings and mounts and functions exactly as it should. The .300 Weatherby Magnum is known the world over for its flat shooting and stopping power. This rifle would be an excellent choice for an Elk, Brown Bear or Moose hunt in North America. Sorry, no box or paperwork.
