Description:
Rare gun made on a #3 frame, this beautiful high original condition grade 3 sports 30” Damascus barrels and was made with a splinter forend, double triggers, capped pistol grip buttstock with original skeleton buttplate. The gun is nicely engraved in standard Grade 3 Hammer gun pattern as seen in the photos. It has very nice wood which appears all original and sound throughout.
This gun comes to me from a very distinguished collection that focused on high quality guns - this being the finest example of a 3 frame hammer 12 the collector was able to source. Overall the gun remains in fine original condition. The barrels retain nearly all of what appears to be a professional re-black. The frame retains quick a bit of original case color - with the locks being particularly nice and dark. Engraving is strong throughout. The bores are very good with beginning orange peel ahead of the chambers. Mechanics are fine.
