Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description: WOW, this is the earliest model 1906 that I have ever come across. I purchased this little 22 Short only from an old friend, and exceptional gunsmith, that had full intentions of restoring it. Unfortunately he passed, with the gun polished into the white, and missing the sights and forend. I had the gun finished to a remarkable condition by a master in the field. This gun was built in March of 1906, and sold for $10.50 as compared to the model 1890 at $16.00. This was Winchester's economy version, with the shorter 20" round barrel and gumwood stocks. Winchester used the same high quality receiver as the model 1890 with the inside locking lugs until both models went to the stronger outside lugs of the 3rd variation in 1907. This gun has all the correct markings (not proof marked until 1908 on the receiver or barrel) that are easily legible. The sight package is incorrect but can be found on e-bay ( same as model 1890 of the same vintage), and the correct forearm would be just a smooth gumwood one, with no ribs. The bore is bright and shiny, with decent rifling present, and she has the original butt stock with nothing more then a quality refinish, and the original butt plate intact. This is a rather rare and unique little short shooter with a lot of rejuvenated life left. I prefer a Postal Money Order, unless otherwise agreed.
