Savage has surprisingly affordable accuracy, and the improved performance of the cartridge would make this a neat benchrest gun. Affordable, unique and accurate were generally the key factors my dad looked for in a gun. Included in the sale is everything pictured: box of fireformed brass, LE Wilson die, the original barrel and stock. The targets shown are of the first and only groups dad shot with the gun. He did not have much time to work on load development or start working out to distances greater than 100 yards. The Leupold scope fitted is a fantastic optic for benchrest shooting. It should also be noted that standard 30-06 Springfield is safe to shoot in the improved chamber, and will produce formed brass for reloads.
