This S&W New Departure Safety Hammerless is fitted with a 3 1/2 inch barrel, checkered hard rubber grips with S&W monograms, is blue finished with color case-hardened trigger, and chambered in .32 S$W Short. This 1908 vintage S&W Top Break, double action 5-shot revolver, is in excellent original condition, retaining 70% original blue, with most loss due to flaking and holster wear. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, but there are some areas of spotting. The action functions perfectly, with a tight lock-up. The grips fit well and are in very fine condition, showing minimal wear and no cracks or chips. The gun is all numbers matching (frame to barrel, cylinder, top break latch, and grips).
