This is a very cool limited-production Molot Vepr MTAC-20 Tactical Rifle in 7.62x54R that was a Atlantic Firearms exclusive model no longer in production. This mean-looking AK-based tactical rifle is based on the standard Russian Molot sporter with a heavy-duty receiver that has been fit with a 20" inch cold hammer-forged Russian chrome-lined barrel with a 14x1 left-hand threaded muzzle, an SVD style flash hider, a Manticore Arms keymod front handguard, a Magpul MOE pistol grip, a black polymer Tapco AR-15 style collapsable buttstock, a G2 fire control group, factory battle-style iron sights adjustable for windage and elevation, and an integral left-side mounted Russian-style optics base. This Molot MTAC-20 was designed as a superb designated marksman type rifle, capable of semi-auto and accurate long-range shooting in a powerful cartridge. Like the AK it was designed after, the MTAC-20 is a supremely reliable weapon that requires only minimal maintenance. This particular example was bought new by the original owner and was put into storage immediately, never once fired or carried afield. The factory finish is pristine and perfect, the bore is mirror-bright and pristine, and all of the added parts are like-new and mint. The interals are just as pristine as the exterior, and all of the controls are like-new and in perfect working order. It is a flat-mint gun in every way, and it comes complete with it's original box, owner's manual, and two factory 5-round magazines. The original box still has the factory end-labels intact which are serial-numbered to the rifle. If you have been looking for an extremely well-made and slick-looking sniper or designated marksman-type of semi-auto rifle in 7.62x54R, this Russian Molot MTAC-20 would be an excellent choice and should continue to be a superb long-term investment.
