Description:
56-50 Spencer, 22 inch six-groove barrel with a bright excellent bore with strong rifling throughout. The barrel has toned to a pleasant mix of gray-brown patina showing a somewhat speckled appearance. The action and lockplate are similar showing silvery case-hardened patina throughout, the lower tang and hammer with some smoky colors and the interior protected areas of the breechblock show more vibrant colors. Smooth walnut buttstock and forend remain in excellent condition showing old oil finish with some staining. Buttstock retains two good cartouches on the left side. There is a thin 1” crack at the right tip of the forend with typical scattered light handling marks overall. All correct original hardware remain intact.
