Description:
Good shape but a solid shooter grade example upon closer inspection. The metal is in good shape with a few handling marks. A few light scratches and thinned bluing around the muzzle round out the metal issues. The stock is the letdown on this example. Aside from a significant dent in the bottom of the pommel, there is strong evidence of the wood having been refinished. The peaks in the checkering have little definition left and the finish has filled in a good part of the grooves. There are also the expected handling marks. Sources indicate this is a standard weight model in the 1958 to 1967 range. With its 4 digit serial number it is probably an early production example of the run. 12 Gauge
