This Ruger Model 77 Mark II .338 bolt-action was manufactured in 1992 and amounts to one of modernity’s finest bolt rifle designs. The Model 77 is a traditional Mauser-style which utilizes a two-lugged bolt with a claw extractor and its signature feature of an angled action screw. Incorporating this unique angled action screw allows for the action to be drawn down and to the rear, as opposed to typical front action screws which pull the receiver directly down. This design also features a smooth, dark walnut 1-piece stock with checkering at the fore and rear grips, a black rubber recoil pad, multi-point checkering at the rear and fore grips, receiver marked “Ruger M77 Mark II” on the left side, stainless bolt, attached scope rings, a black steel grip cap, and sling swivel studs. The M77 Mark II provides unmatched performance and remains a popular choice for deer-sized game.
