Manufactured in 1862-1863, only produced a total quantity of around 500. 36 caliber with 5 shot round cylinder. Revolver has the rare and desirable 5 1/2" octagon barrel. Serial number 401, present on frame and cylinder. Hammer and trigger mechanics work properly but the cylinder does not index. Grips are in very condition but right grip has a tiny crack (see pic). Frame has molted case colors with a very nice patina mixing in. Screws are in decent shape. Still some nice case colors present on loading lever. All markings are nice and crisp: barrel address, cylinder, left side of receiver, and serial numbers. Barrel and cylinder are still showing some nice original blue mixed in with patina. Revolver shows use but no abuse. Front sight bent slightly. This is a extremely rare and desirable Civil War Revolver that you almost never see for sale. Antique and can be shipped directly to your doorsteps. Please feel free to ask questions. SOLD Antique: Yes |
