Light & Popular SLIDE ACTION Rifle From the Mid-20th Century
Here we present a C&R Remington Model 121A Fieldmaster Slide Action Rifle, made circa 1920 in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. This Model 121 is a pump action rimfire rifle that was designed by C.C. Loomis and G. H. Harrison and was made between 1936 and 1954. It is a hammerless, tube fed magazine gun that had a total production of approximately 199,891 examples manufactured. It was replaced in 1955 by the model 572 that is still being made today.
This rifle is chambered in .22 Caliber Rimfire and was purchased by and for boys and youth in the early to mid-20th Century. This would have been the rifle that a boy learned on, plinked and hunted with.
The overall condition is fine. Excellent action. bright bore. The stock is solid throughout with less than average wear. Vibrant nickel finish (re-finished). Sharp markings.
