Description:
Handsome Francotte 12 gauge hammergun with 75cm(29-1/2”) nitro steel barrels. Profusely engraved. Residual case coloring on action body. It has side clips, crossbolt, double triggers and extractors. Beautifully sculpted short hammers that sit below the shooter’s line of sight when cocked. The action can be opened when the hammers are cocked making this a very convenient hammergun to operate. Made in Liege in 1928 and weighs 6lb 14oz. *** The 75cm(29-1/2”) nitro steel barrels have a top extension and are made of Martin Siemens steel. The chambers have been lengthened to accommodate 2-3/4” shotshells. The barrels are topped by a raised solid concave crosshatched tapered rib. The right barrel is bored 0.727 with a constriction 0.006 for Skeet choke. The left barrel is bored 0.724 and has a constriction of 0.020 for Modified choke. *** The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of straight figured European walnut. The finish is in excellent condition with only a few handling marks. Stock dimesions are 14-3/4” by 1-9/16" by 2-11/16". Cast off for the righthanded shooter. *** Belgian guns provide a lot of quality for a modest amount of money. This little beauty has long barrels, short hammers, and handles like a dream.
