Description:
This gun belonged to Reverend Andrew Jackson Worley who was quite an interesting character. There is a lengthy letter from his granddaughter stating his life and travels. Also comes with a Factory Letter. This gun came from the family a few years ago. The gun has a 28 inch octagon barrel with full length magazine. Caliber 45-60. Folding leaf "1876" marked rear sight and typical Winchester front sight. Dark bore. Wood shows a fair amount of use but no splits or cracks. Rifle style buttplate. Correct dust cover. Overall metal is mostly a plum/brown. It shows some cleaning where there was some pitting and corrosion. Very interesting well documented gun.
