Here we present a Fabrique Nationale Model 1922, made circa 1944 in Herstal, Belgium, near Liège during the German Occupation. This is a very interesting World War II era pistol that is rarely seen. This is a FN/Browning Model 1922 that was manufactured during the German occupation. Most all of these were routed to the military. However, this is one of the few that was sold through the commercial market. Commercial sales of firearms were strictly controlled in Nazi Germany and only military personnel, Nazi Party members, or other authorized persons were able to purchase them. In addition to the Eagle proofs, this pistol has the Albrecht Kind (AKAH) "Shooting Policeman" commercial trademark on the right side of the frame. There is a theory that these may have been purchased for security guards at manufacturing plants in Germany during the war.
The over condition is fine. Original blue finish. Numbers match. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The grips are in nice shape.
