Description:
From an estate sale a Civil War Presentation Inscribed Sword 3 Photos 1 w/Sword 5 Medals & Extras (see photos). At the sale they said this collection had been handed down through the family but had no other information or historical data about the collection. The sword scabbard is a post Civil War presemtation and is engraved "Presented by Brig. Gen. TT Crittenden for his aide W. N. Williams 6th Ind. Vols. for fidelity and Bravery 1" There are three old photos with the collection. One showing the owner with the sword and the engraved scabbard highlighted. One photo of the owner in a later period dress uninform and one smaller photo of with seven other soldiers and three cannons with info on the back identifying the owner and stating the photo was taken in "Indian Territory" and dated 1869. There are two medals and three pins in the collection. One medal is bronze colored metal and has a red, white and blue ribbon is dated 1921 and depicts the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City Missouri. The other medal is star shaped, bronze colored, has an American Flag ribbion and is a "Grand Army of the Republic" Veterans medal. One of the pins has a rainbow ribbon and is for the 1923 M.O.W.W. convention. The other two pins are dated 1892 and 1894 form Christian College for women and are inscribed to Pearl Williams. The two pins came in a cloth bag along with a dated note stating Pearl was best of 100 girls. The last item is an old, braided leather sword knot. I've have looked closely at this collection and everything looks old and original to my untrained eye (see photos) I have not researched the history and have no way to authenticate the items, therefore, I am offering this collection with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If it fails to live up to your expectations in any way return it for a full and speedy refund including your return shipping (see my feedback). Cashiers check or money order only.
