This Springfield Model U.S. Rifle M1 Garand is a right hand semi-auto U.S. Military rifle in .30-06 Sprg. Cal. It has a 24 inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is a smooth grip two piece hardwood. Receiver Serial Number 2020455 (1943). The barrel is stamped S-A-10-51. Muzzle reading 3+. Throat reading 3. The M1 Garand is still widely used by civilians for hunting, .30-06 Springfield
