Here we present a Yugoslavian/Serbian Kragujevac Model 1924 Rifle, made circa the World War II era. The first Mauser-pattern rifle produced in Yugoslavia was the M1924. Its predecessor, the FN Model 1924 had been produced for the Yugoslav army by Fabrique Nationale Herstal until the Ministry and FN signed a contract on the purchase of the license for production of rifles 7.92mm Model 1924. Nearly all Model 1924's were produced either before or during World War II, at the Kragujevac Arsenal plant.
It is a Mauser 98 knockoff that was manufactured in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (later Yugoslavia and now Serbia) beginning in 1924. These were well-made Mauser rifles that remain very desirable today!
The overall condition is very good. The action is robust and smooth. Bright bore., The stock is solid all around (hand guard replaced and there is a stable repair behind the barrel tang). Clean markings. The numbers do not match on this example.
