Description:
This Colt was produced in 1932. The pistol's serial number is 5532. This "Ace" model "22 Long Rifle" came out in 1931. The factory letter states that this Colt was shipped on August 31st 1934 to R. S . Elliot Arms Co. Kansas City Missouri. This Colt is in near new condition. The barrel shows very little use or slide wear. The bore is minty. The original bluing would rate a 98% or better. The only blemish is a spot of discoloration on the right side of the slide over the 22 Long Rifle lettering. The grips are original to this pistol and are in very fine condition with no issues. The front and rear sight are also original to this pistol. The rear sight is fully adustable. The magazine is the correct two tone magazine in new condition. It has the correct logo on the magazine floor plate. The action is really smooth with a crisp trigger pull. The polish work on the slide and frame is first rate! The bluing has that deep charcoal finish that makes this pistol stand out! The original box is serial numbered to this pistol. The serial number is partially missing from wear on the box bottom. This box is in fair condition The label is partially worn off but fully readable. This is a high condition very collectable fine Colt for the collector with it's original box! These "Ace's" are not commonly found in this good of condition today. Most were well used and show that fact. Here is a great example of these 22"s for the collector!
