Description:
The Ithaca Gun Company produced 400,000 M1911A1 pistols between 1943 and 1945, the same as Colt. The quality of the Ithaca guns was just as high as the rest. The inspector mark found on all Ithaca M1911A1 pistols is 'FJA' for Frank J. Atwood. This pistol is a .45 ACP M1911A1 produced by the Ithaca Gun Company. The pistol is stamped with the inspector's initials 'FJA'. The "P" proof mark is located on the left side of receiver, top of slide and left barrel lug. The Parkerized finish shows wear from normal handling over the years. .45 ACP
