"Made circa 1870s. 40 caliber with 32" barrels. Barrels have an even brown patina on metal. Wood is very good. George Leonard moved to Red Bluff, Ca in 1869 from Vermont. This is an unusual gun as the action works only with the set trigger and the gun has to be cocked while the set trigger is being set. Both barrels fire simultaneously. This gun has a lollipop tang sight. Very neat California over under Rifle!
